You are going to find that there is the part where you will only be able to fly with an instructor. Then once you have completed this part you will be able to go on to the part of the course where you can fly on your own. Naturally, it must be understood that you are not going to be able to be weak in any area of your training when you are going to fly solo.

When you are ready for this part of being able to fly on your own a lot of it will also depend on whether your instructor feels that you are ready to do so. Safety is very important and there is no way if you are not ready will you be aloud to go alone in the plane. Sometimes what some of the schools will do is still move the student on to learn other parts of the course that takes place after the solo.

This way all that is left to do will be the solo flight time. Usually where the weakness comes in is on the landing this is where most students feel insecure. What you might want to do is buy some extra flight time to give you extra practice in this area.

So when you look at the total aspects of your course you can now see that it is broken into two areas where there is the education part and then gaining experience. Of course the educational or the ground work is more important before you can take on the responsibility of flying the plane.
