Job Description
A friendly work environment is currently seeking an individual with experience as a Controller/Director of Property Management Operations with at least 3 years experience.
Position Description:
Manage the financial and property management functions of the organization. The job has 2 primary functions-financial controls/accounting and management oversight of daily property management activities.
Must have competent writing skills
Position reports directly to the President
Property Management a plus

Tasks:Manage and /oversees all of the financial and property management transaction recording and reporting, including rent collection, cash management and payable activities. Manage the general ledger, prepare and submit budget and rent increases and prepare project budgets for internal and external (agency) use.
Directly supervise the Bookkeeper, Administrative Assistant and Site Property Management Personnel.
Prepare financial statements or other financial reports in accordance with accuracy. Completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Respond to and maintain relationships with personnel at regulatory agencies- primarily HUD, IHDA, AND Hap. Work with Various management and audit personnel who monitor, audit, and inspect property and financial operations.
Survey and oversee project operations to ascertain accounting and property management needs/improvement and recommend, develop and implement solutions to financial and property management problems. Must be able to address tenant issues beyond the scope of Site Managers.
Report to the President regarding the state of the finances and property management operations of the various development managed by the company.
Review and implement internal controls over financial and property management activities to protect the assets of the company.
Modify and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, make use of current computer technology and accounting software. Should be proficient with Real Page Web-based accounting software, QuickBooks, Word, and Excel software.
Provide financial and property management reports to outside investors and Boards of Directors.
Special Projects as assigned by the President.
